SASD is a heterobifunctional cleavable photoreactive and radioiodatable crosslinker. Iodination occurs between the azide and hydroxyl group of the phenyl ring. After cleaving the disulfide bond with a reducing agent the radioactive label will remain with the protein conjugated by photolysis. Water soluble, protect from light. SASD has a spacer arm of 18.9 angstroms.
